Our Story
Compassionate about others and wanting to help them achieve their best life, is the very foundation of this law practice. With decades of courtroom experience, Joel Segall built his law firm on the reputation for ?standing with you, and standing for you.?
Joel E. Segall, Esquire
For over 35 years, I have dedicated my life to providing clients the comfort, trust, and peace-of-mind they deserve when seeking legal counsel. Focusing primarily on Family and Domestic Law, I strive to be an advisor and collaborator who works alongside my clients to help them make the best decisions for their interests, and to maximize their relief. My clients are central to my process; I respect and recognize that they are the ones most familiar with the facts of their case, they are the ones who have bravely sought legal help, and they are the ones experiencing the pain and frustration. Therefore, I include them in each facet of my approach, considering their thoughts and feelings every step of the way. I am a listener and a counselor, and I will be their voice in front of the courts.
I am proud to call myself a lifelong Maryland resident. Home to where I live with my wife, and where I raised my family. My higher-education began at Washington & Lee University, where I graduated with honors, both Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and earned a History degree. I then went on to receive my Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center. One of my most cherished activities is volunteering as an active member of the Board of the Baltimore Humane Society. This is an organization that does incredible work. I am also an avid cyclist and swimmer.
I am a member of the Maryland Association of Justice, Maryland State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and certified to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. I?ve been blessed to be married to my amazing wife, Robynn, who is a registered nurse. We have two sons, two daughters-in-law, a grandson, and two dogs, Jesse and Carson. When I am relaxing alone, you might find me reading novels!

Alex is a 2020 graduate of the University of Maryland, Francis King Carey School of Law. In her time at Maryland Carey Law, Alex was an Articles Editor for the Maryland Law Review, a member of the Student Health Law Organization, and a fierce advocate for clients? rights, walking away with the Hoffberger Clinical Law Prize and the Public Service Award on graduating. Even before law school, however, Alex gravitated toward careers in which she got to help people, including medicine and teaching, finally centering herself in the legal field. Although she is acutely interested in the intersection of health care and the law, Alex found herself passionate about family law and particularly those matters that involve children. Alex works determinedly to provide the best help possible and to continue learning every day.
