THE BLOOM FIRM STANDS WITH BLACK LIVES MATTER PROTESTORS NATIONWIDE AND AROUND THE WORLD
Statement of Lisa Bloom, founder and owner of The Bloom Firm:

We have fought many cases of racism and police brutality, and yet in 2020, the problem remains appalling and horrific.

The movement for racial justice is about George Floyd, Trayvon Martin, Sandra Bland, Freddie Gray, Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Breonna Taylor, and so many other countless Black victims of unjustifiable violence. Black lives have been lost at the hands of police, sworn to protect the American people, at an alarming rate.

Racism in America goes well beyond police brutality, and plagues many aspects of Black lives. In addition to Black lives maimed and lost, the quality of Black lives is adversely impacted because of direct and implicit racial bias. From day to day, Black Americans are the objects of suspicion and scorn, mistreatment, injustice, and other subtle indignities, merely because of the color of their skin.

Each of these abuses shames our nation.

The Bloom Firm stands in solidarity with the Black community in unequivocally affirming that Black Lives Matter. We are committed to taking actions to dismantle systemic racism and to continuing to fight to protect the civil rights of Black citizens.

We demand that our country live up to what we have always said we were, a nation where all of us are created equal.
