Founded in the District of Columbia in 1975 by a number of Marines, the firm's core values include discipline, attention to detail, hard work and honor, the same values drilled into those who serve in the Marine Corps. The founding partners include James F. Jordan (1933-2016), a former Marine Corps aviator, and Maj. Gen. John T. Coyne (Ret.). Firm alumni also include at least five present and former judges in the courts of Maryland, The District of Columbia, and Virginia.
