In late 2012, the firm's three named partners, who at the time were each nationally prominent fire litigators at separate firms, convened to discuss the goal of establishing the country's first national catastrophic fire and explosion law firm. When McCoy Leavitt Laskey opened in April 2013, the founding partners had already collectively spent their entire careers handling fire and explosion cases. Today, with the success of the founders' growing practices and with the addition of new partners, McCoy Leavitt Laskey's attorneys have handled well over 2500 such matters, including many of the country's most iconic and complex fire and explosion cases in recent years.
