History
Bob Trapp established his law practice in Santa Maria in 1951 and joined with Dan Kirk 1956 as the firm of Trapp & Kirk until 1972 when Bob was appointed a Judge of the Santa Barbara Superior Court. Alex Simas joined Dan Kirk's established practice to form Kirk & Simas in 1976. Dan retired in 1993. The name of Kirk & Simas remains today a pillar in the Central Coast legal community. Other distinguished Firm alumni include Santa Barbara Superior Court judge, Jim Rigali; retired Santa Barbara Superior Court Commissioner, Denise Motter; and deceased Santa Barbara County Supervisor, Joni Gray.
