Kim Cheatum dedicates the expertise he has gained as a family law attorney for more than 40 years to serving the interests of his clients.
Mr. Cheatum was born and raised in Southern California. In 1974, he graduated magna cum laude from Claremont Men's College, where he was also MVP of the basketball team. In 1978, Mr. Cheatum graduated from California Western School of Law.
After passing the bar exam in 1978, Mr. Cheatum discovered that Family Law uniquely afforded him the opportunity to help real people during a real time of need, while at the same time, learn a fascinating area of the law. To these ends, he devoted his career.

Mr. Cheatum is married to Kimberly, a third generation San Diegan, and has two daughters, Christine and Caroline. When not working, he enjoys reading, writing, and exercise. At all times, he delights in conversation over food.
