Pros: 5.0 Current EmployeeAmazing EnvironmentAssociate ProsI worked at Brewer as a summer associate and I found the work to be fulfilling and the leadership to be effective, responsive, and respectful. The culture is incredibly supportive and feedback is given in a positive way. My input was always well-received even if not always adopted. The work I was assigned was more substantive than other summer associates get.ConsThe elevators make my ears pop every morning. This is a con only if you think so but because summer associates have more responsibilities than they would at other firms, after-hours work is sometimes requested. That said, I have never been told that after-hours work was required and I honestly never felt pressured into staying late or working on a weekend.

Pros: The standards are high. Folks move very fast. Everyone works very hard. Firm events include everyone, from copy center to partners, which builds teamwork for long nights. No petty back-stabbing. Everyone supports one another. Great team environment.
Cons: Dress code is old school. No remote options. demanding hours.
Partners to Avoid and Why: I've heard horror stories but never had a problem myself.

Pros: 5.0 Current Employee, more than 1 year""Rambo Litigation"" was coined here!Jan 13, 2017 - Litigation Paralegal in New York, NY ProsAs Megyn Kelly wrote in her book, Settle for More, describing her experience as a young lawyer at this firm, ""I'll never forget sitting in one senior associate's office. He was telling me this place was like being in a foxhole; everyone there would take a bullet for the others. This is not the way most law firms recruit. Typically, they want to know why you wrote your Law Review note on 'The Dangerous Instrumentality Exception to the Negligent Supervision Doctrine.' This guy wanted to know if I was a fighter."" Personally, I'm forever thankful that my recruiter placed me in this firm. I have been working as a litigation paralegal for 6 years and I understood truly how demanding this business is. I understand how to handle a case from inception to trial and I attended several trials with the attorneys in various firms. I started working for the Brewer firm since 2015 and I wholeheartedly believe that this is the best decision I've made for my career. It's extremely rewarding and exciting to be part of a winning team and the opportunity to be exposed to high stake cases is golden. The attorneys I support are extremely understanding and reasonable with assignments and work hours. From time to time, I will need to stay back and put in OT. I have no issues because I'm always a team player and it's fascinating and rewarding to know that I also contributed to a winning case! The Pay is great and the firm offers full benefits!ConsI mean, if you want to be mediocre in life and settle for a sweet 9-5, this is not the place for you! Know who you are and want you want! Don't blame the world for your failures! I will leave you with Rocky's quote: ""It ain't about how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit. And keep moving forward. It's how much you can take. And keep moving forward. That's how WINNING is done."
