By the time someone did call 911, only because of the insistence of the patient's mother, it was too late, and the patient later died in the hospital from complications of a fat embolism. We won a $20.5 million verdict, including $15 million in punitive damages, which is the highest punitive damage verdict in a medical malpractice case ever awarded in Pennsylvania."
