This position offers a unique opportunity for an attorney who excels in legal research, writing, and drafting persuasive legal documents. The role is ideal for professionals who prefer in-depth legal analysis over courtroom litigation and are keen on contributing to the development of innovative legal arguments for a range of plaintiffs' matters, including cases in Oklahoma state and federal courts, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Duties:

  • Draft and revise high-quality legal documents, including motions, briefs, and appeals for Oklahoma state and federal courts, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on complex legal issues, utilizing platforms such as Westlaw and other legal research tools.
  • Apply and ensure compliance with relevant state and federal rules and procedures.
  • Assist trial attorneys in developing legal strategies and arguments for court presentations and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to manage motions practice and other legal proceedings.
  • Review and guide legal briefs drafted by less experienced attorneys.
  • Stay informed on evolving legal precedents, statutes, and rules related to civil litigation and plaintiffs' matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Civil Litigation, with a focus on plaintiffs' cases.
  • Proven expertise in legal research, drafting briefs, and providing litigation support in Oklahoma state and federal courts, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
  • Proficient in legal writing and citation, including adherence to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex legal issues and craft compelling arguments.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Oklahoma.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice in Oklahoma state courts, federal courts, and appellate courts, including the Tenth Circuit.
