Real Estate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, with a preference for experience in renewable energy development, railroad real estate, or telecom real estate. Strong writing, oral advocacy skills, and academic credentials are essential for success in this role. The candidate must possess an active law license in the applicable jurisdiction, or eligibility to become admitted to the applicable Bar.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development projects.
• Conduct due diligence, review title documents, and draft contracts, leases, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
• Advise clients on zoning, land use regulations, environmental issues, and other legal considerations affecting real estate projects.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel, clients, and third parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Handle real estate disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing real estate law.
• Experience with renewable energy development, railroad real estate, or telecom real estate is preferred.
• Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.
• Active law license in the applicable jurisdiction, or eligibility to become admitted to the applicable Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active law license in the applicable jurisdiction.
