A law firm seeks an experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join its thriving criminal defense practice in Nampa, ID. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of criminal cases and will be responsible for providing strong representation and client-focused defense strategies. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring an individual who is both organized and proactive in managing caseloads while ensuring exceptional service to clients.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in criminal defense matters, including making court appearances, filing motions, and participating in trials.
  • Perform legal research and draft a variety of legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Develop personalized defense strategies based on each client’s case and needs.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to keep them updated on case developments and provide expert legal advice.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff to ensure smooth and comprehensive case management.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and changes in criminal law and procedures to deliver the most effective defense strategies.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in criminal defense or related legal fields.
  • Admission to practice law in Idaho.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with an ability to draft persuasive legal documents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:
