Immigration Attorney

Duties

• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals

• Conduct intakes with detained and non-detained clients, including visits to detention centers

• Prepare and review immigration applications and filings, including I-130, I-601A, waivers, and family-based petitions

• Provide consultations and develop individualized legal strategies for clients

• Draft and submit legal briefs, motions, and supporting documentation

• Present legal updates and collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community organizations

• Guide clients and witnesses in preparation for USCIS interviews and court testimony

• Manage a personal caseload efficiently while collaborating with paralegals and legal assistants

Requirements

• 1 to 4 years of experience practicing immigration law

• Experience managing EOIR, family-based, humanitarian, detained, and naturalization cases

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage clients with empathy and professionalism

• Proven ability to manage and move cases forward independently

• Team-oriented mindset and collaborative approach to legal practice

• Experience using immigration case management software preferred

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in any U.S. state (in good standing)

• Fluency in Spanish is a plus
