Job Overview:
A well-established law firm, based in Garden City, NY, is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled attorney to join its Medical Malpractice/Healthcare Litigation team. The position offers the opportunity to represent healthcare professionals and facilities in the defense of malpractice claims. The ideal candidate will bring 4-7 years of experience, demonstrating proficiency in medical malpractice litigation, with the ability to work independently and handle client interactions.

Duties:

• Collaborate with senior attorneys to formulate defense strategies in medical malpractice cases
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery documents, memos, briefs, and other litigation-related materials
• Analyze medical records and apply findings to litigation strategy
• Represent clients in court proceedings
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and conferences
• Interact with medical experts for case support
• Conduct in-depth legal and medical research
• Draft and file motions
• Manage client interactions and provide regular updates on case developments
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain a collaborative environment

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice in New York
• Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in medical malpractice/healthcare litigation
• Proficient in legal research, writing, and verbal communication
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish client trust
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:
