Job Overview:

A law firm based in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience in personal injury litigation, particularly with defense experience. The ideal candidate will be prepared to handle a full range of case work from inception through trial and demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions and co-direct case strategy.

Duties:

• Manage personal injury litigation cases from start to finish, including factual investigation, discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Handle complex motion practice, including dispositive motions and pre-trial motions.
• Actively participate in civil jury trials, providing strong advocacy and legal strategy.
• Co-direct case strategy and make independent decisions on case management.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
• Maintain case files and ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
• Attend court hearings and trials as required.

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of experience in personal injury litigation, focusing on defense experience.
• Admission to the Florida Bar.
• Strong academic credentials with significant practical experience in case management and civil litigation.
• Ability to manage workload independently and efficiently.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
