Job Overview: A law firm in San Diego is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join  team. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of jurisdiction experience in foreclosure and REO-related litigation. This position requires managing cases from assignment to conclusion, drafting legal documents, representing clients at court hearings and mediations, and maintaining direct communication with clients.

Job Duties:

  • Manage cases from assignment to conclusion, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Draft court pleadings, legal memos, and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Oversee discovery matters, including depositions, filings, and motion defense strategies.
  • Independently represent clients at court hearings (live and telephonic) and mediation sessions.
  • Conduct internal and external training sessions to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
  • Communicate directly with the firm’s clients to provide updates and gather necessary information.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of jurisdiction experience in foreclosure and REO-related litigation.
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in California and admitted in all Federal District Courts within the state or willing to get admitted.
  • Member in good standing with the California Bar Association.
  • Excellent legal research skills with proficiency in relevant databases and resources.
  • Ability to organize and manage a high-volume caseload effectively.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
