Senior Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Personal Injury Attorney to manage litigation cases and contribute to trial preparation. This position offers the opportunity to focus on case strategy and professional development while receiving mentorship from lead attorneys. The role provides significant support, including AI technology to enhance productivity and efficiency. Trial participation is expected, with a structured transition into that aspect of practice.

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of various personal injury matters in litigation.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including complaints.
• Draft meet-and-confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes.
• Prepare clients for depositions and applicable hearings.
• Take and defend depositions throughout the course of litigation.
• Prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions.
• Attend court appearances.
• Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases.
• Direct and support investigations on assigned litigation matters.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in personal injury law.
• Strong background in personal injury litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
• Workers’ compensation experience is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong written discovery skills.
• Experience conducting depositions.
• Excellent negotiation and litigation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a legal team.
