A law firm in Charleston, SC, is seeking a dedicated Real Estate Closing Attorney to oversee and manage residential and commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will be a member in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar with experience in closing real estate transactions and a strong commitment to client service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales, purchases, and refinances.
  • Review title commitments and resolve any title issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, real estate agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, deeds, leases, loan documents, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Provide professional and responsive client service, addressing client questions and concerns promptly.
  • Review disbursement ledgers and authorize payments as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships to attract and retain clients.
  • Conduct training sessions for potential clients on relevant areas of real estate law.

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar.
  • Experience in closing real estate transactions is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial real estate law and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and external parties involved in transactions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality legal services and exceptional client experiences.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the South Carolina State Bar in good standing.
