Job Overview:

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation in litigation matters related to community associations, including CC&R disputes, contract litigation, and property damage claims
  • Advise clients on a range of legal matters, including rule enforcement, contract negotiations, and insurance reviews
  • Assist clients with interpretation and enforcement of governing documents (CC&Rs)
  • Advocate for clients in court proceedings and negotiations
  • Collaborate with the legal team to resolve architectural disputes and breach of fiduciary duty claims
  • Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in California (6+ years for candidates based in Palm Desert)
  • Strong litigation skills, including trial preparation and court appearances
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team-oriented with a positive and solution-focused attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
  • Community association law experience is a plus, but not required

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California
