Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a driven and experienced Maryland-barred litigation attorney to join their team in Towson, MD. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of litigation experience, particularly in professional malpractice, medical malpractice, or employment claims. Duties

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, from initiation through expert discovery, particularly in professional malpractice and employment matters.
• Attend and manage court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct thorough legal research and assist in discovery investigations.
• Draft key legal documents including discovery requests and responses, motions, case evaluation summaries, settlement agreements, affidavits, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
• Review discovery responses, and depositions, and prepare litigation summaries and progress reports.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
• Maintain close communication with clients, providing legal analysis, case status updates, and strategic guidance.

Requirements

• At least 2-5 years of litigation experience.
• Must be barred in Maryland (DC Bar license is a plus).
• Experience in medical malpractice, professional liability, or employment litigation preferred.
• Strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with LexisNexis software.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Maryland Bar license (DC Bar license is a plus).
