Duties:

  • Advise clients on a variety of private credit transactions, including cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security agreements, and other financing documents.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support client transactions and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop strategic solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional service and expert guidance throughout the transaction process.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments related to private credit and finance.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in private credit or finance matters, ideally at a nationally recognized law firm.
  • Demonstrated experience with various financing transactions, including lending and borrower-side exposure.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex legal issues and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering high-quality legal services.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois.
