Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated insurance coverage attorney to join its dynamic Insurance Coverage Practice Group. The ideal candidate will be tasked with providing expert coverage advice and handling disputes across various insurance areas, including CGL, advertising injury, D&O, professional liability, workers' compensation, and first-party property claims. The role offers significant opportunities for client interaction, litigation, and professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Duties:

• Draft and review coverage opinions on a variety of insurance-related matters
• Handle insurance coverage disputes, including litigation and pre-litigation matters
• Engage in legal research, analysis, and writing
• Prepare and argue motions
• Conduct depositions and participate in trials
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to resolve complex issues
• Manage case files and ensure timely and effective legal support

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage law
• Active California Bar membership
• Proven experience in litigating and providing coverage opinions across a range of insurance products
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar
