Job Overview: A well-established law firm based in Hollywood, FL, is currently seeking a talented and experienced Associate Attorney specializing in litigation. Duties:

  • Manage and handle a substantial caseload, primarily focusing on first-party property plaintiff insurance litigation.
  • Draft, file, and argue motions, attend hearings and manage all stages of litigation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis using legal databases such as Westlaw.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop legal strategies.
  • Communicate with clients, experts, and witnesses to build strong case foundations.
  • Attend depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to legal procedures and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in first-party property insurance claims.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar is mandatory.
  • Strong ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
  • Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound legal decisions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active and in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar License (required).
  • Federal Court admission is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research tools, including Westlaw.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
