Job Overview

A prominent law firm based in Towson, MD, is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Attorney with 2-5 years of litigation experience to join its dynamic legal team. Duties

• Represent clients throughout all stages of litigation, from initiation to expert discovery.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and discovery investigations.
• Draft and review discovery requests, responses, motions, legal memoranda, case evaluations, court orders, and settlement agreements.
• Prepare case summaries, discovery reviews, deposition outlines, and litigation updates.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
• Provide clients with regular case status updates, legal analysis, and strategic advice.

Requirements

• Barred from practicing law in Maryland; a DC license is a plus.
• 2-5 years of litigation experience.
• Background in medical malpractice, professional liability, or employment litigation is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and legal writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Lexis legal research software.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admittance to the Maryland State Bar (required).
