A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a Junior or Midlevel Real Estate Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate should possess practical and technical knowledge of California real estate law, with the ability to handle key aspects of complex commercial and residential purchases and sales. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to work on complex transactions with exposure to international and cross-border experiences.

 

Duties:

  • Demonstrate practical and technical knowledge of California real estate law.
  • Handle key aspects of complex commercial and residential purchases and sales, including title and survey review, transaction process, and communications with counsel, escrow, and principals.
  • Manage various real estate transactions, including finance, commercial leasing, conveyancing, entitlements/subdivisions and structuring, and drafting complex ownership vehicles.
  • Possess general knowledge of real estate taxation issues.
  • Work directly with senior attorneys and clients as a substantive provider.
  • Handle complex real estate transactions, including some with sole responsibility.
  • Bring international and cross-border experience, working in multiple time zones.
  • Exhibit strong project management ability and balance competing priorities.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in real estate law.
  • Admitted and in good standing with the California Bar.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Practical and technical knowledge of California real estate law.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admitted and in good standing with the California Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Experience with complex commercial and residential real estate transactions.
  • Knowledge of real estate taxation issues.
  • Strong project management ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on transactions with international and cross-border elements.
  • Relational ability to work directly with senior attorneys and clients.
