Job Overview: A law firm specializing in energy and infrastructure projects is seeking a Project Lawyer to join its San Antonio office. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in project development and mergers and acquisitions, particularly within renewable energy, oil and gas, or broader infrastructure sectors.

Job Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate various agreements, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, and equipment procurement agreements.
  • Provide legal counsel on project financing, regulatory compliance, and risk management for energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct due diligence and assess legal risks associated with project acquisitions and developments.
  • Advise clients on project structuring, entity formation, and joint ventures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate project completion.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas in good standing.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in project development, mergers, and acquisitions, ideally within renewable energy or oil & gas sectors.
  • Proven track record in negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Strong understanding of project finance and regulatory frameworks.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working on renewable energy transactions is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
