A law firm seeks a highly skilled securities attorney with a strong focus on managing structured securities offerings to join its Investment Funds Group in Reston, VA. This non-partnership, professional-track role is ideal for attorneys with extensive experience in commercial real estate law, specializing in areas such as real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions. The attorney will provide representation to a range of clients, including real estate investment trusts, public and private real estate firms, and institutional investors, across various sophisticated real estate transactions.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage structured securities offerings within the Investment Funds Group.
  • Represent a diverse client base, including public and private real estate companies, REITs, and financial institutions, in acquisitions, sales, restructurings, complex financings, and development transactions.
  • Offer legal counsel on intricate real estate transactions, emphasizing finance, acquisitions, and property dispositions.
  • Conduct detailed analyses to support strategic decisions in commercial real estate finance and structuring.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and colleagues to ensure efficient and compliant transaction execution.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in managing structured securities offerings.
  • Proficiency in commercial real estate law with emphasis on finance, acquisitions, and property dispositions.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory framework and structuring requirements for securities in real estate investments.
  • Prior experience with an AmLaw 100 law firm is highly desirable.
  • Admission to the bar in Virginia is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.
