A law firm seeks a dedicated and motivated Associate Attorney to join a team focused on personal injury litigation. Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury cases throughout the litigation process.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and hearings, ensuring they are well-informed and ready.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts as part of the litigation process.
  • Prepare and respond to various motions, including dispositive motions.
  • Represent clients at court appearances and other legal proceedings as necessary.
  • Negotiate settlements to reach favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Conduct investigations to gather evidence and support case strategies.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, keeping them informed throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Personal Injury Law, with a focus on litigation and discovery.
  • Strong background in managing pre-litigation cases and performing legal research.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of cases in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing.
  • Experience with Worker's Compensation law is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including legal writing and drafting motions.
  • Ability to conduct depositions and manage discovery processes.
  • Proficient in legal research and case analysis.
  • Well-organized with excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Experience with settlement negotiations and client communication.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
