Job Overview

A well-established insurance defense law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 4–6 years of hands-on experience to join its team in New York. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of litigation matters, including motor vehicle liability, general liability, Labor Law, products liability, and more. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing cases from inception through resolution and possess strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. Duties

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense and personal injury matters

• Represent clients in court conferences, oral arguments, mediations, and settlement negotiations

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands/responses, mediation statements, and client reports

• Analyze liability and damages issues and communicate findings with clients

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case evaluations

• Prepare and submit case updates to national and international insurance carriers and clients

Requirements

• 4–6 years of litigation experience in insurance defense or personal injury law

• Ability to independently manage litigation files from inception to resolution

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical capabilities

• Experience with depositions, motion practice, and court appearances

• Familiarity with New York litigation procedures

• New Jersey bar admission is a plus

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in New York (required)

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is preferred but not required
