Associate Attorney Or Counsel

Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney or Counsel specializing in transactional work, corporate law, or finance law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in representing companies and financial institutions in various financing activities and structured finance transactions.

Duties:

• Represent clients, including companies and financial institutions, in financing activities such as secured and unsecured credit facilities.
• Provide legal advice on structured finance transactions and acquiring or selling financial asset portfolios.
• Draft and negotiate transaction documents, financing statements, and offering documents.
• Advise on commercial and securities law issues related to finance transactions.
• Handle financing transactions involving a broad range of asset classes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transactional work, corporate law, or finance law at a large or mid-size law firm, in-house law department, or governmental agency.
• Strong academic credentials with a J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Membership in good standing with the Illinois State Bar or eligibility to waive into the Illinois State Bar.
