Job Overview

A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Property and Casualty Insurance Litigation Associate with 2–6 years of insurance litigation experience. The role requires a strong understanding of insurance coverage issues, with preference given to candidates who also have experience in bad faith insurance matters. The position is available in either the Miami or Tampa office and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and client-focused legal environment.

Duties

• Handle litigation matters related to property and casualty insurance disputes
• Analyze insurance coverage issues and provide legal counsel to clients
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
• Represent clients in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on insurance and bad faith issues
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies
• Manage discovery processes and trial preparations

Requirements

• 2–6 years of insurance litigation experience
• Demonstrated understanding of insurance coverage issues
• Experience with bad faith insurance litigation (preferred)
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on client matters
• Federal or state appellate clerkship experience (a plus)

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the Florida State Bar (required)
