Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a mid-level associate attorney with 4-7 years of experience to join its Real Estate Group. The successful candidate will work in the firm’s San Francisco office and will be part of a multidisciplinary real estate practice representing lenders and borrowers in all types of commercial real estate transactions, including complex, high-stakes projects across the country.

Location:

  • San Francisco, CA

Duties:

  • Represent clients in various real estate finance matters, with a focus on lender-side transactions (experience in lender-side is a plus but not required).

  • Assist in structuring joint ventures, purchase and sale agreements, and management agreements.

  • Work on real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiating related documentation.

  • Provide legal support for complex, high-stakes commercial real estate projects.

  • Manage and lead deals, serving as a primary point of contact for clients.

  • Collaborate with other attorneys and clients, offering strategic counsel and solutions.

  • Maintain efficient project management while balancing multiple, fast-paced assignments.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on real estate finance and transactions.

  • Experience with structuring joint ventures, purchase and sale agreements, and management agreements.

  • Familiarity with leasing is beneficial but not required.

  • Prior experience with Am Law 100 firms is preferred.

  • Admitted to practice law in California.

  • Ability to take the lead on deals and interface directly with clients.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to anticipate issues and manage priorities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to practice law in the state of California.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of real estate finance, transactions, and commercial real estate law.

  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.

  • Proven ability to lead projects and manage client relationships.

  • High-level organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
