A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to support its growing government takings practice. The role focuses on assisting clients in seeking justice and compensation for losses related to government takings. Duties:

  • Analyze and interpret maps and real property conveyance instruments.
  • Conduct real estate title examinations when required.
  • Manage and update case files, ensuring timely progress and handling by support teams.
  • Negotiate settlement agreements, ensuring favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and support staff to streamline case management.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state (required).
  • Eligible for admission to the U.S. Court of Federal Claims (required).
  • Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and capable of handling multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for case-related work.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of government takings, real property law, and federal constitutional law (preferred).
  • Fluency in Spanish (preferred but not required).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state (required).
  • Eligible for admission to the U.S. Court of Federal Claims (required).
