This role requires strong litigation skills, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and conducting depositions.

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including wage and hour disputes, class actions, and PAGA cases.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests and initial pleadings.
  • Prepare and argue motions, including summary judgment and other dispositive motions.
  • Conducted and defended depositions of clients, witnesses, and experts.
  • Manage case files and documents effectively, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Provide legal analysis and strategic advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California in good standing.
  • 4-7 years of experience practicing employment litigation law.
  • Proven experience with wage and hour litigation, class/collective actions, and PAGA cases.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
