Job Overview:

A law firm in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a skilled and experienced Commercial/Financial Services Litigation Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial litigation with specific expertise in financial services and mortgage litigation. This role involves managing complex litigation cases, from research and drafting to court appearances and negotiations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with financial services litigation cases, including mortgage litigation.
• Research and draft motions and legal documents.
• Handle written discovery and manage document production.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Argue motions in court and appear in court proceedings.
• Attend and represent the firm at settlement conferences and mediations.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop litigation strategies.
• Provide legal advice and counsel on complex litigation matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Proven experience in financial services litigation, focusing on mortgage litigation preferred.
• Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New Mexico Bar is required.
• Bar membership in other states is a plus.
