Job Overview:
A San Francisco-based law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney to join its employment litigation practice. This position primarily focuses on defending clients in single-plaintiff employment disputes and handling administrative charge responses. The ideal candidate will excel in litigation, legal research, and client advocacy while thriving in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in single-plaintiff employment litigation cases in court and arbitration.
  • Conduct internal investigations and prepare detailed legal findings.
  • Draft and respond to discovery, including interrogatories and document requests.
  • Take and defend depositions in litigation matters.
  • Research and draft motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Handle court conferences, hearings, and trials with confidence.
  • Advise clients on employment-related matters and preventative strategies.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys to ensure comprehensive client representation.

Requirements:

  • Active California State Bar membership and good standing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in single-plaintiff employment litigation.
  • Proven ability to manage litigation, including court appearances, depositions, and mediations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client and team interactions.
  • Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills.
  • Experience in counseling clients is a plus but not mandatory.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle a fast-paced workload.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently as needed.
