Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a skilled and experienced IP Litigation Associate Attorney to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in IP litigation, including managing cases, briefing and motion practice, taking depositions, and engaging with experts. Duties:

• Manage and oversee intellectual property litigation cases, from pre-litigation through trial and appeal.
• Handle all aspects of case management, including briefing, motion practice, and discovery.
• Take depositions and manage expert witnesses throughout the litigation process.
• Assist in preparing for and participating in PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board) proceedings or other trial settings.
• Supervise junior associates, paralegals, and support staff, offering guidance and mentorship.
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and case plans.
• Maintain effective client communication, providing updates and managing client expectations.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in IP litigation, including complex case management and trial preparation.
• Strong background in handling motions, depositions, and expert testimony in intellectual property disputes.
• Experience with PTAB or trial proceedings is preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully managing cases from inception to resolution.
• Ability to supervise and mentor junior associates or support staff.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, both written and oral.
• A desire to contribute to a growing and dynamic team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Maryland or the ability to become licensed in Maryland promptly.
• USPTO admission is highly preferred, especially for candidates with an engineering background.
