A law firm is seeking a Senior Banking and Finance Associate Attorney for their Melbourne location. The candidate should have demonstrated experience in banking and finance transactions gained at a reputable national or international law firm, or in-house at a leading financial institution.

Excellent written, drafting, and verbal communication skills are essential, along with attention to detail, commitment to quality, and a strong work ethic.

 

Duties:

  • Advise clients on banking and finance transactions, including loan agreements, credit facilities, structured finance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft and negotiate legal documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and ancillary agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and risk assessments for financing transactions.
  • Provide legal support and guidance to clients on regulatory matters impacting the banking and finance industry.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Australia in good standing.
  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience in banking and finance law.
  • Experience working at a reputable national or international law firm, or in-house at a leading financial institution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in Australia.
