A law firm seeks an Attorney Specialist to join its Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF) practice group. This permanent role is designed for attorneys who wish to pursue a long-term, non-partnership track opportunity in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The position focuses on providing legal support related to derivatives transactions and repurchase agreements for clients, including registered investment companies such as mutual funds, ETFs, and closed-end funds.

Duties

  • Assist attorneys in the AMIF practice group with legal matters related to derivatives and repurchase agreements.
  • Collaborate with partners and associates to manage some of the firm's largest mutual fund client relationships.
  • Perform legal research and draft agreements and documentation in compliance with client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Provide project management support to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the practice group’s growth and development.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of direct experience in asset management and investment fund-related matters.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills.
  • A willingness to commit to a specialized and growing area of practice on a long-term basis.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the United States.
