Associate Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Litigation Attorney. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of litigation experience and a strong background in handling various phases of litigation. This position requires excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.

Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of civil litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial proceedings
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Engage in discovery processes, including depositions, interrogatories, and document requests
• Prepare for and participate in court hearings and trials
• Advise clients on legal strategies and case developments
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation or arbitration as necessary
• Develop and implement case strategies and legal arguments
• Maintain and build strong client relationships, providing regular updates on case progress
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management
• Stay current with changes in laws and regulations relevant to ongoing cases

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience
• Proven ability to handle all phases of litigation independently
• Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in the state of Missouri
