A law firm is seeking an e-DAT (Electronic Discovery and Technology) Lawyer to join their Seattle office. The ideal candidate will possess experience in managing and executing electronic discovery processes, including handling large volumes of data and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The role requires Bar admission and a strong background in e-Discovery and legal technology.

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage the e-Discovery process, including identification, collection, processing, review, and production of electronic data.
  • Develop and implement e-Discovery strategies and protocols to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, legal teams, and technology vendors to manage data preservation, retrieval, and analysis.
  • Utilize e-Discovery tools and technologies to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Conduct legal and factual research to support electronic discovery efforts and ensure accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and advice on e-Discovery issues and best practices, including data security and privacy concerns.
  • Draft and review e-Discovery-related documentation, including protocols, preservation notices, and production agreements.
  • Participate in meet-and-confer sessions and negotiate e-Discovery issues with opposing counsel.
  • Train and mentor junior associates and staff on e-Discovery processes and tools.
  • Stay current with developments in e-Discovery technology and legal trends.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar admission in Washington State or eligibility to obtain admission.
  • Experience in managing e-Discovery processes and technology.
  • Strong understanding of electronic discovery regulations, best practices, and technology.
  • Proficiency with e-Discovery software and tools.
  • Experience with data security and privacy issues related to e-Discovery.
