An established immigration law firm in Miami, Florida, is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. Duties

  • Represent detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals

  • Provide legal consultations and strategic advice to clients on immigration matters

  • Conduct intakes and visits with detained individuals at detention centers

  • Prepare and review a variety of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions

  • Draft and submit legal briefs and supporting documentation for immigration cases

  • Identify potential case benefits and develop individualized legal strategies

  • Prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS interviews and immigration court testimony

  • Engage with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community organizations regarding immigration law updates

  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal assistants to manage caseloads and meet filing deadlines

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience practicing immigration law

  • Proven ability to manage and move cases forward independently

  • Experience handling family-based petitions, removal defense, humanitarian applications, detained matters, and USCIS filings

  • Strong case strategy and legal analysis capabilities

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

  • Familiarity with legal case management software (preferred)

  • Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal collaboration skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the United States
