Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm based in New York City is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience in business and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of litigating complex cases in state and federal courts or arbitral forums, demonstrating expertise in drafting legal documents, managing case files, and presenting cases in court or arbitration settings.

Duties:

• Litigate cases in state and federal courts and/or arbitral forums.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Handle discovery processes and manage case files.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, oral arguments, and trial/arbitration proceedings.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to advance client interests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and case law.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience in business and commercial litigation.
• Strong experience with depositions, oral arguments, and trial/arbitration preparation.
• Proven ability to manage complex litigation matters.
• Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.
• High level of academic achievement.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
