Job Overview:

A well-established law firm in Atlanta, GA, specializing in family law, is seeking an experienced Senior Attorney to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have substantial family law litigation experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for mentoring junior attorneys. This role involves managing a large caseload, attending trials, and preparing legal documents while offering guidance to the firm’s junior associates. Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research to stay informed of changes in local, state, and federal laws.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys, offering guidance on legal strategies and case management.
  • Argue motions and represent clients in court proceedings.
  • Manage and resolve family law cases, ensuring high standards of client care.
  • Contribute to improving firm policies and procedures for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet deadlines and support the firm’s objectives.

Requirements:

  • Active member in good standing with the Georgia State Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with at least 3 years of family law experience in Georgia.
  • Prior experience in litigation, including trials, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Ability to handle a large caseload independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to think quickly, make decisions under pressure, and pay attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.

Skills:

  • Expertise in family law and litigation.
