A law firm seeks a seasoned securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group in Washington, DC. This is a non-partnership, professional-track role tailored for an attorney with extensive experience in structured securities offerings, with a particular focus on commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions, representing a range of clients including real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors.

Duties:

  • Manage structured securities offerings, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with client objectives.
  • Provide representation for clients in a variety of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, restructuring, complex financing arrangements, and real estate development.
  • Offer strategic legal advice on real estate finance and the structuring of investment portfolios.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and internal teams to streamline the transaction process.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support the structuring and execution of complex financial transactions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 years experience in structured securities offerings, particularly within commercial real estate law.
  • Strong background in real estate finance, acquisitions, and property dispositions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and transaction structuring within real estate investment.
  • Previous experience with a top law firm, ideally within the AmLaw 100.
  • Active membership with the bar in Washington, DC.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Member in good standing with the Washington, DC State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Sound business judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks effectively.
