A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid or Senior Level Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have strong financing and/or M&A transactional experience, preferably in energy or other infrastructure development, finance, and/or acquisitions and dispositions. The candidate must demonstrate a high level of academic achievement and a passion for delivering high-quality work and service to clients.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of financing and/or M&A transactions, from due diligence to closing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents, including purchase agreements, financing agreements, and related contracts.
  • Provide legal advice and support on energy and infrastructure development projects.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex transactional issues.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of transaction strategies.
  • Manage client relationships and provide strategic counsel to clients.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on transactional matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in transactional matters.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments in relevant areas of law.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in a law firm environment, focusing on financing and/or M&A transactions.
  • Strong academic record and high level of achievement.
  • Experience with energy or other infrastructure development, finance, and/or acquisitions and dispositions (preferred).
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in the New York State Bar Association or eligibility for admission.
