Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 7 years of experience to join their dynamic litigation team. The role involves managing trial calendars, coordinating trial teams, and contributing to both client communications and internal thought leadership initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and project management skills while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results for clients.

Duties:

• Manage trial calendars and assist with trial team staffing and coordination
• Prepare client communications, business development pitches, newsletters, and client presentations
• Oversee long-term projects, ensuring alignment with the team’s strategic objectives
• Facilitate the integration of new attorneys into the team and mentor junior staff
• Collaborate with practice managers and team leaders to assess staffing needs
• Work closely with the innovation team to assign appropriate resources to tasks
• Draft legal documents such as briefs, motions, and discovery materials
• Support the preparation of witnesses for depositions and trial
• Manage discovery tasks, including e-discovery processes
• Coordinate with cross-department teams and clients to ensure efficient project completion

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Experience drafting briefs, motions, and discovery documents
• Proficient in managing discovery, including e-discovery
• Ability to prepare witnesses for depositions and trials
• Ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed environment
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the California State Bar or eligibility to practice law in California

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of California required

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a $10,000 bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable hour levels above 1,950.
