Duties:

  • Handle high-value personal injury cases, typically involving $1M or more in insurance coverage.
  • Take ownership of cases from inception to trial, ensuring strategic development and progression.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals and support staff to build strong, effective case strategies.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other necessary legal documents.
  • Engage in client consultations, providing expert legal advice and guidance.
  • Prepare and represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
  • Maintain case files and manage the progress of each case within the firm’s established procedures and systems.
  • Utilize the firm’s cutting-edge case management systems and resources to streamline case development and client communication.
  • Ensure that all work aligns with the firm’s commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Plaintiff Trial Attorney, with a strong track record in personal injury litigation.
  • Significant trial experience, particularly in handling high-stakes cases.
  • Ability to independently manage complex legal matters and lead cases from start to finish.
  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills, with the ability to build compelling case strategies.
  • Ability to handle a high caseload while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the state of Texas.
  • Additional certifications in personal injury or trial law (preferred but not required).

Skills:

  • Expertise in plaintiff personal injury law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in case management software and legal research tools.
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
