Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Saint Louis, MO is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Health Law Team, focusing on data privacy and security. Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on a variety of data privacy and security matters, including regulatory compliance with state and federal privacy laws.
• Advise clients on data protection, management, and security practices.
• Conduct thorough assessments of data flows and develop data mapping strategies.
• Manage incident response and guide on mitigating risks related to data breaches.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with a focus on data privacy and security provisions.
• Collaborate with both legal and non-legal teams to ensure comprehensive legal solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in health law, privacy regulations, and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in health law, specifically in data privacy and security.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal issues in a collaborative environment.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts related to data privacy and security.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with both legal and non-legal teams.
• In-depth knowledge of state and federal privacy regulations and compliance requirements.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
