Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to handle a diverse caseload, primarily focusing on foreclosure actions. The successful candidate will provide clients with legal analysis, strategy recommendations, and status updates while ensuring compliance with relevant legal requirements.

Duties:

  • Provide clients with status updates, legal analysis, and legal strategy recommendations.
  • Handle a large caseload, managing all aspects of matters from assignment to conclusion under the supervision of Senior Attorneys.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of all conditions precedent to filing actions, including loan documents, financials, and demand letters.
  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence related to foreclosure actions.
  • Update internal systems with findings, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Exercise utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements.
  • Conduct negotiations as necessary.
  • Manage time effectively and work independently.
  • Analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations.
  • Demonstrate superior written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Utilize intermediate to advanced computer and general office skills.
  • Utilize foreclosure and title experience (preferred).
  • Conducted evidentiary hearings, researched legal issues, handled motion practice, discovery, and appeals, and advocated for clients in court proceedings.
  • Take and defend depositions.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in State litigation with NJ & PA Bar Admission.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in NJ & PA State Bar.
  • A basic understanding of quality assurance and quality control is preferred.
