Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney with 4-6 years of legal practice to join a collaborative law firm. The successful candidate will handle a variety of family law matters with a balance of autonomy and support. The attorney will receive the majority of their work through the firm’s lead generation and marketing, with the expectation to generate some of their own billable work. This position offers access to coaching and support for business development and networking, along with a competitive compensation and incentive structure.

Duties:

  • Handle family law cases, including mediation and trial representation.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
  • Draft memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Provide excellent interpersonal communication with clients, court members, and colleagues.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring timely case management.
  • Market personal and firm services to prospective clients.
  • Perform discovery and due diligence in preparation for litigation.
  • Close consultations with a conversion rate of 30-50%, depending on the practice area.
  • Ensure timely approval of invoices and manage billing processes effectively.
  • Collaborate with support staff and other attorneys to ensure efficient case handling.
  • Engage in brand promotion through blogs, social media posts, and professional participation.
  • Actively seek positive client feedback and reviews.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar or eligibility for reciprocal admission.
  • 4-6 years of experience as an attorney, with experience in family law.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high volume of cases.
